Image from Oh, the places you'll go by Dr. Seuss cover from the bookEach year, National Read Across America Day is celebrated on March 2nd, the birthday of Dr. Seuss.  Dr. Seuss is the author of “The Cat in the Hat” and “Green Eggs and Ham”.  His work can be found on any library bookshelf and has helped countless children learn the value of reading to improve their vocabulary and comprehension.  This day is celebrated across the United States to celebrate the adventures of reading.  It is everyone’s responsibility to encourage children of all ages to read every day.  Read Across America is a perfect holiday to get children interested in reading and instill the love of reading into the next generation.
