Astronaut Tony Antonelli came to visit!
Tony Antonelli, Douglas Byrd High School graduate and NASA astronaut with more than 24 days spent in space, came to Cumberland Road Elementary School on March 27th to speak to students in grades 2 through 5. Mr. Antonelli shared his experience in space with us, and shared how he was able to work his way from Fayetteville to the U.S. Navy, and then all the way to the stars!!

Ms. Jernise Flood Rucker is our new principal and we love having her here. Ms. Flood Rucker comes to us from Westarea Elementary School where she was the assistant principal and has worked in education for 16 years. She has been getting to know our students, families, and our staff and she is excited for our journey together.
